Mahatma Gandhi, " Do or Die"

My favorite leadership quote is that of Mahatma Gandhi, who gave the slogan " Do or die" during the quit India movement launched during the Indian freedom struggle. This is a powerful slogan which instigates the importance of freedom into the common man. Further it gives only two options either to fight injustice or die.

These words inspires and provide courage to the followers.

Personally by using this slogan I am able to handle the challenges and difficulties of life and also inspire the people working with me. Anything, any adversity that comes across us in life, can be faced very well just remembering the above two words.

Further a more positive approach can be instilled in the minds of the co-workers by using the above words. For example a task to be finished within a time limit is given to my team of workers, the simple thing I would say to them is the above words that is to Do or die. This gives a fighting instinct and fresh energy to my team and to me also.

Nobody likes to die. Hence if given the option of do or die more likely everybody will choose to do only. It also will provide more enthusiasm and much more positive attitude since there is no other option to look for.

This is almost similar to Napolean's verse " Burn the ships". These powerful words " Do or die " prompted the common man in India to give their best for the sake of freedom struggle. The same words can be implemented in our day to day life so as to lead a team and also to be more productive and further to face the drastic challenges of life with a great fighting instinct.
